XCO-proven tech for fast, dry gravel

XCO-proven and adapted for gravel and ‘cross, the Mezcal brings grip and speed on hard surfaces to drop bar cycling. The center tread lights up on fast, straight sections, and the shoulders cling when you’re leaning through corners. On more technical sections, siping throughout lets the tread deform against bigger chunks of gravel, roots, and pavement. Instead of slipping off or spinning out, the Mezcal’s contact points are multiplied, and it latches on to propel you forward.

Technology explained

The gravel Mezcal’s Graphene-infused compound is faster and lighter than rubber alone, and it’s reinforced with the ultra-durable, supple Endurance nylon casing with additional layers of puncture protection on the center strip and side walls. The tread pattern combines full siping with a fast center line debris-clearing space between the center and shoulder.

100 TPI Nylon Casing

The highest thread count in our gravel line, which means it’s our most supple, lightest gravel casing. Nylon’s durable threads withstand the punishment of mixed-terrain cycling, and the relatively high thread count sheds rolling resistance and maintains the feel of the gravel while muting chatter.

Graphene 1C Compound

Rubber, infused with Graphene to minimize rolling resistance and resist punctures. Graphene effectively fills the gaps between rubber molecules, creating a reinforced structure that’s lighter, more efficient, and also more durable.

XC-Trail TLR Reinforced 120-TPI Casing

A reinforced racing casing, the XC-Race TLR combines a durable, supple 120-TPI nylon construction with additional protection on the sidewalls. Responsiveness, muted chatter, and supple trail feel with a little extra anti-puncture insurance – when XC gets gnarly, the XC-Trail TLR goes off.

Great protection & perfect tread for more demanding gravel terrains

I've been crunching many kilometres on my all-road gravel bike with Vittoria Mezcal Gravel Endurance. I sometimes ride them in more technical gravel terrain, in mixed to coarse loose conditions. I have also used them for bikepacking on more technical gravel trails: I never had a puncture and always had good control and great rolling performance. I mount them with Air-liner Gravel and find the setup very comfortable, plus it gives me peace of mind as I know I can always go on for some extra miles in case of flat tires.
