The XC racing tire for dry hardpack

In the fastest conditions, on the smoothest dry hardpack, no tire flies like the Terreno XC Race. The tread, the casing, the compounds – everything is engineered for speed when speed is everything.

The Terreno’s revolutionary fish scale tread pattern rolls smoothly on straightaways and bites while cornering and braking, and the gradual transition from the center strip to the shoulder knobs takes the awkward bum-up out of cornering.

01

120 TPI Nylon Casing

The highest thread count in our cyclocross line, which means it’s our most supple, lightest ‘cross casing. Nylon’s durable threads withstand the punishment of rides between the tape, and the relatively high thread count sheds rolling resistance and maintains the feel of the gravel while muting chatter.

02

Fish Scale Tread

A revolutionary tread pattern that bridges the gap between file tread and low-profile knobs. The “scales” are ramped to reduce rolling resistance on straights but bite with secure, responsive traction when loaded for braking and cornering.

03

Graphene 1C Compound

Rubber, infused with Graphene to minimize rolling resistance and resist punctures. Graphene effectively fills the gaps between rubber molecules, creating a reinforced structure that’s lighter, more efficient, and also more durable.

Still leaking Air

I wanted fast and light MTB tire and Terreno (29x2,1) seemed to be a perfect choice.

Unfortunately the tire is heavily leaking air.
I installed it in my ordinary way with 90ml od Stans Original Sealant. There were random air leakages from the tube side.
I added 40ml of sealant with no particular improvement.
Again no fix, so I added another 40ml of Stans RACE Sealant.

I can now use the tire for half day trip only. From 45 psi it is leaking to approx. 15 psi next day.

At the same time I use the sealant with 3 other Bontrager tires with no issue.

So Terreno is not reliable and usable for me.

Fast & Gripy

Nice option for dry conditions. Very fast tire, now I using it with the XC liner, 20 lbs front and 22 rear. I’m 70 kg rider.
