The trail tire for all conditions

The lightweight version of our EWS-proven tread, the Mazza Trail embodies gravity-tuned grip, reliability, and predictable trail-feel with a construction that spins up faster and punches the gas over cruxes and rollers. The ultimate all-mountain tire for riders who savor going up before coming down.

While cornering or gripping off-camber rock faces, progressive siping on the shoulders varies the tread’s edges to balance responsive trail-feel with tenacious grab and no instability – glued, in control, and predictable. On climbs, the Mazza digs in with ramped leading edges that thrive on rollers and technical rocky cruxes alike. Between the two, voracious spacing gobbles and clears loose, loamy soil and clingy muck.

01

Graphene 4C Compound

Rubber, infused with Graphene in a graduated schedule of four compounds across the rolling strip and shoulders. Two stabilizing base compounds boost puncture resistance and longevity while creating a foundation for climbing, braking, and cornering loads. The trail-side compounds reduce rolling resistance, boost traction, and get tacky on switchbacks and off-camber sections, wet or dry.

02

120 TPI Nylon Casing

The highest thread count in our cyclocross line, which means it’s our most supple, lightest ‘cross casing. Nylon’s durable threads withstand the punishment of rides between the tape, and the relatively high thread count sheds rolling resistance and maintains the feel of the gravel while muting chatter.

It’s grippy on a wide variety of surfaces and conditions, but it rolls efficiently. Climbing, braking, and cornering traction are superb, with predictable limits and a smooth transition to drift. The casing is robust enough to shrug off many cuts and pinches. And it’s surprisingly durable too considering how well it grips.

Bicycling - Gear Of The Year 2023

the Mazza shines in corners of all kinds: loose, loamy, and rocky. The progressive siping seems to work as advertised, allowing the side knobs to bite into the trail without feeling like a gobby mess of shifting rubber. The Mazza offers do-it-all capabilities and two different casings for trail and enduro riders. This is one excellent tire.
